High Risk To Travel Location
Norway was elevated to the highest risk category on the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s list of travel advisories for destinations worldwide on Monday.
The Scandinavian country was promoted to “Level 4: Covid-19 Very High” just as the country loosened the majority of its domestic Covid-related restrictions over the weekend. Sweden and Denmark, both neighbors, are classified as Level 3 by the CDC.
Bulgaria was also promoted to Level 4 in Eastern Europe on Monday.
According to CDC guidelines, destinations in the “Covid-19 Very High” Level 4 category had had more than 500 cases per 100,000 people in the last 28 days.
The CDC advises people to avoid going to places marked with a “Level 4” warning. The agency recommends that everyone who has to travel get completely immunized prior. Almost 90 destinations are now classified as Level 4.
