Following the deadly blow and torrential rain Krosa inflicted on Japan, a new tropical threat may brew in the Western Pacific Ocean next week.meteorologists are keeping a close eye on other areas of the basin, the one that has the highest probability to develop is the South and West of Guam.

“This feature will gradually strengthen this weekend and could become a depression or tropical storm over the Philippine Sea early next week,” according to  Meteorologist.As the feature takes shape, Nicholls anticipates that it will bring squalls with local drenching rain and gusty winds to Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands this weekend.Boaters and swimmers should use caution as seas may turn choppy. Outdoor and vacation plans could be spoiled.

If the storm strengthens, the waters across the northern Philippine Sea will turn around and shipping interests next week. Some tropical threats have already been struck by a tropical cyclone this year. About a week ago, Typhoon Lekima was killed in Eastern China.meteorologists are also keeping a close eye on disturbed weather in the southern Ryukyu Islands.“However, the conditions are only marginally conducive to strengthening,” Nicholls said. “This feature is likely to remain weak but will bring heavy spells of rain to the southern Ryukyu Islands and Taiwan this weekend and into next week.”
