US Earthquake 3.3
According to the US Geological Survey, the second earthquake of the day struck South Carolina on Monday evening.
Officials initially assigned a magnitude of 2.9 to the quake, which struck at 6:21 p.m. northwest of Shell Point and Charleston. The magnitude was later upgraded to 3.3.
This was near Ladson, according to the South Carolina Emergency Management Division.
The earthquake was felt by residents all throughout the Lowcountry. So yet, no substantial damage has been reported as a result of the quake.
There were no early reports of damage, according to Berkeley County officials.
Another tremor struck the Ridgeland and Summerville areas earlier Monday.
According to the USGS, the quake had a magnitude of 2.8.
