Reventador volcano in Ecuador is showing signs of activity, according to the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre (VAAC) in Washington. This information was reported on January 29, 2024, at 11:36:00 GMT.

The news about the volcano comes from observations made in the air, from satellites, and/or on the ground. Based on the limited information we have, it is believed that 533 people, 141 households, and infrastructure worth $6.8 million (USD) are within 10 km (6 miles) and may be affected. There doesn’t seem to be a large group of people living between 10 km (6 miles) and 30 km (18 miles) from the volcano.
